Dr. Herschel R. Lessin is Medical Director and Director of Clinical Research at The Children's Medical Group, PLLC and has been a full time practicing pediatrician for 25 years.  His group is the largest single specialty pediatric group in the Northeast with 22 Pediatricians, 7 offices, 32,000 patients in 3 counties in New York's Mid-Hudson Valley.  Dr. Lessin if very active in the AAP and sits on the national Committe on Practice and Ambulatory Medicine (COAPM).  He is also a regular contributor to the Section on Administration and Practice Management (SOAPM) as well as the author of several articles on Practice Management Online.  Dr. Lessin has spoken nationally on such topics as Practice Management, Medical Liability, and Managing Chronic Illness in an Office Setting.  He is speaking at the AAP's National Conference and Exhibition in San Francisco this October.  Dr. Lessin is a Certified Managed Care Executive and sits on the board of  MVPHealthcare, a not for profit MCO with more than 750,000 covered lives.  He has served a principal investigator on more than 15 research protocols and sits on the advisory boards of such vaccine manufacturers as Merck and GSK.
