Stephanie N. Stinchcomb, CPC, CCS-P, ACS-UR

Beginning her healthcare career in a four-physician urology practice in Annapolis, Maryland, Stephanie N. Stinchcomb has over fourteen years experience in coding urologic procedures and services. She is nationally certified as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) through the AAPC, as a Certified Coding Specialist-Physician Based (CCS-P) through AHIMA and an Advanced Coding Specialist-Urology (ACS-UR) through the Board of Medical Specialty Coding. Currently, Stephanie is employed by the American Urological Association as the Billing and Reimbursement Coordinator and oversees the AUA National Coding Hotline. She also is a member of the faculty on the AUA’s Keys to Coding Accuracy Seminars held throughout the United States and contributing writer to the AUA’s Health Policy Brief and Coding Tips for the Urologist’s Office. Stephanie also does freelance consulting work for physician offices to ensure proper urological coding practices, as well as speaking engagements for many coding venues.
