Speakers

Leigh Davis Leigh Davis, owner of Davis & Delany, is a expert on attracting and retaining top talent and brings over two decades of expertise and unparallel leading ed recruitment and retention success. Leigh and his wife started their own home care company in 1996 after his parents’ struggle with subpar caregivers. That family experience inspired him to later create systems and processes that reliably and predictably attracted and retained great care staff. Two of Leigh’s Magnetic Job Posts have been recognized by Indeed two years running as the No. 1 and No. 2 best examples out of more than 30,000,000 job posts reviewed each year.
Bill Dombi William "Bill" Dombi, Esq., is the president of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC). He previously served as the vice president for law at NAHC. As a key part of his responsibilities, Dombi specializes in legal, legislative, and regulatory advocacy on behalf of patients and providers of home health and hospice care. With more than 40 years of experience in healthcare law and policy, Bill has been involved in virtually all legislative and regulatory efforts affecting home care and hospice since 1975, including the expansion of the Medicare home health benefit in 1980, the formation of the hospice benefit in 1983, the institution on Medicare PPS for home health in 2000, and the national healthcare reform legislation in 2010.
Marcylle Combs Marcylle Combs, BS, MS, RN, CHCE, owner of MAC Legacy, has served and advocated on behalf of home health and hospice patients for over 30 years. She started her career as a nurse before becoming the owner/president of a successful home health and hospice company. Currently, Combs serves on the board of directors for The National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC), the Home Care and Hospice Financial Managers Association (HHFMA) and the Industry Advisory Board. Most recently she has founded the following three business ventures: MAC Legacy, MAC Legacy Investments, and The Marcylle Combs Company.
J’non Griffin J’non Griffin, RN MHA HCS-D, COS-C, HCS-H, is a 34-year veteran of home care. She received her master’s degree in health care administration in 2005 and has experience as a field nurse, director and executive with home health and hospice agencies, both large and small. Griffin is certified in home health coding, OASIS and hospice compliance and is an AHIMA-approved ICD-10-CM trainer/ambassador. She is an accredited ACHC and CHAP consultant and currently serves as the principal of the coding and OASIS department at SimiTree.
Brian Harris Brian Harris has amassed over 13 years of home health and hospice consulting experience, and utilizes his revenue cycle expertise to improve operations, reporting, and cash flow for agencies across the country. Brian has operated as a CFO and manager/director for various departments within provider organizations including Finance, Billing, Insurance Verification, Authorization, Intake, and Orders Tracking. Brian has also been an active speaker in the industry, serving as a presenter for SimiTree educational webinars, NAHC, key industry publications, and various state associations. Along with being an active speaker, Brian is on NAHC's Payment and Reimbursement Committee with members serving as thought leaders for key financial updates in the industry.
Robert Markette Robert W. Markette Jr. JD, CHC, HCS-C, is an attorney with Hall, Render, Killian, Heath & Lyman. and focuses on representing home health, hospice and private duty providers in all aspects of their operations. With more than 15 years of experience in these industries, he has assisted clients in many areas related to Medicare Editorial and Medicaid compliance, survey response, and state and federal appeals of survey findings. Markette is also a frequent speaker on home health, hospice and private duty matters across the country, presenting to the American Health Lawyers Association and the National Association for Home Care & Hospice, as well as other national and state events.
Joe Osentoski Joe Osentoski, BAS, RN, GERO-BC, is a home health compliance and appeals expert for Gateway Home Health Coding and Consulting. As a registered nurse with more than 30 years of experience in home health and hospice, Osentoski specializes in clinical quality assurance and regulatory compliance, including ADR responses and appeals. He has extensive experience with audits, probes, and reviews from all Medicare contractors and insurance payers. Osentoski has completed well over 5,000 ADRs in home health and hospice, filed thousands of appeals, and represented clients at hundreds of Administrative Law Judge hearings.
Beau Sorensen Beau Sorensen is the director of finance and operations at First Choice Home Health and Hospice in Orem, Utah. He has over 25 years of experience in home health and hospice and has extensive knowledge of healthcare systems and processes. Sorensen has worked with organizations across the U.S. to help them better use their EMRs and the data in their systems. As part of his work with Allscripts, he has tested and developed new features in the company’s home care application, including integrations that allow for a fully electronic medical record. These efforts led to his agency being one of the first in the nation to have a fully electronic medical record. Sorensen is actively involved in the home care and hospice community and has served in a number of roles on the state and national association boards.
Melanie Stover Melanie Stover, OT, MBA, MS/ISM, is the co-owner of Home Care Sales of Fairhope, Ala. She has been presenting on the topics of home health, hospice and private duty for two decades. She is passionate about spreading the message how home-based health services impact families’ lives — for the better. Her mission is to help all agencies develop their skills in communicating their unique message so that every person who deserves your services gets them.
Alicia Weisenberg Alicia Weisenberg is the regional nurse clinical manager for Optimal Health Care. She is a seasoned nursing leader and has been in healthcare for a decade. Her family background in fire and emergency service volunteer work fuels her commitment to nursing and her mission to serve her community. Her passion lies in fostering strong connections between management and clinicians, aiming to cultivate an environment conducive to personal and professional growth. As the regional nurse clinical manager at Optimal Healthcare, Alicia inspires her team to embrace critical thinking and holistic approaches, fostering patient safety and minimizing hospitalization rates.
